Avant Launch Competitive Single Speed Loader Models

Ylöjärvi, Finland based compact wheeled loader manufacturer Avant has completed its line-up of the 800 Series with the introduction of two new models the 855i and 845.

Avant Launch Competitive Single Speed Loader Models

We were introduced to the 855i, by our friend and fellow ice hockey man Jaakko Jytilä, who is a Sales Manager for Avant, during a visit to their stand at the Finnmetko show in Finland earlier this year. The machine is a single speed version of the manufacturers most powerful model, the 860i.

With the same power as the 800 Series models, the 855i is designed to be more affordable to contractors and farmers who don’t require the full spec of the 860i

The 855i features the same Kohler KDI engine, pump package, and electrical and mechanical components as the Avant 860i. But the Poclain MSE05 single-speed drive motors (625cc) are new. Thanks to the simpler drive motors, the price of the new Avant 855i is significantly lower compared to the two-speed 860i.

The 855i has the same lift capacity and lift height as the strongest Avant model 860i. Also, the auxiliary hydraulics flow, the external dimensions of the loader and the options are the same as in the 860i.

Being a single-speed machine the 855i only has a maximum drive speed of 15 km/h which in short movement applications is good enough, especially when moving with heavy loads. The pulling force of the machine on the standard tyres is 1570kp.

Stable and sturdy, the 855i is a welcome choice for yard work on farms or construction sites where heavy loads are moved and transitions from one place to another are not long.

Pictured above: The orginal Avant 860i also on display at Finnmetko featuring just one of the 200 + attachments available.

Naturally Avant offer a vast range of attachments, somewhere in the region of over 200 now I believe, to make this affordable model even more attractive and versatile on the job site.

There is no official promo video on the 855i just yet, but checkout my video from a visit 5 years ago where we saw a snow blower attachment being demonstrated.
