Bobcat Launches R-Series Backhoe Loader
Backhoe loader sales may not be what they were in the glory days in the UK, but in other markets like the Middle East and Africa the versatile machines are still highly regarded and sales are good, this has prompted Bobcat to launch its latest new generation R-Series model which is aimed at that market.
The new B730R backhoe loader is effectively replacing the company’s first-generation models which included the B700, B730 and B750 models. Bobcat only entered the backhoe loader market around four years ago, following customers requests to introduce a BHL model into the range, and they quickly gained market share in the MEA region, achieving a top 3 position in sales across a number of countries.
The new R-Series B730 backhoe loader is powered by the well-proven Perkins 1104C-44T 100 HP engine with a maximum torque of 408 Nm.
In combination with the manual or optional auto-shift transmission, accelerating from 0 to 40 km/h by smooth gearshifts, the operator benefits from an easy and comfortable drive on the road or at the job site.
Bobcat also state that the new generation B730 offers premium performance with powerful breakout forces and strong lift capacities. With best-in-class reach and wide working areas with increased visibility at both the front and rear, the B730 reduces the need for repositioning for applications such as digging, trenching, breaking and material handling.
There’s no indication of if and when these machines, which as I understand it are built by Turkish firm Cukurova for Bobcat, will be available in the UK, but you never know in this game.
In the meantime, check out the promotional video below from Bobcat.
