Caterpillar D12 spotted down under

Our resident Englishman down under Michael Bullock recently posted a shot on our Facebook page, which I just had to share with the Digger Man Blog readers.

Caterpillar D12 spotted down under
As regular readers of my blog will know, Michael has been living the Australian plant and machinery dream since he headed down on a working holiday. During his time down there, he has seen and worked on some pieces of kit that we can only imagine about here in the UK. As well as being a top machine operator, Michael clearly has a great sense of humour too, as the promised photo of a Cat D12 turns out to be two Caterpillar D6 models, performing their own mini version of the Malaga Big Push! A similar scene was replicated for me during a recent site visit to see Coles Plant in action just outside the market town of Holsworthy in Devon. Highly experienced operators, Justin Gliddon and Rob Heard, put on a display of dozing power with their D6T and D6N models respectively. I am always on the lookout for interesting photos on a variety of plant topics, so if you have anything you would like to share, please drop me a line to nickydrew16 at btinternet.com using the usual @ email format.
