Cat’s D7 High Drive Rides Again!
Despite taking place with the spectre of Covid-19 looming, Conexpo 2020 was an incredibly exciting event to attend, so much so that it already seems like a blur and I feel like I never quite took it all in!
The connections made during our time in Las Vegas were phenomenal and have really put this blog on the map with so many international heavy machinery manufacturers, so much so that even during the long lockdown period, we have remained even busier than ever and somewhat inundated with emails and phone calls, and I can promise you that we have lots of exciting things coming down the line once some form of normality is resumed.
One of the overriding memories of Conexpo was Caterpillar’s somewhat gladiatorial looking operator arena which played host to incredible Global Operator Challenge Final. Another memory will be my first sighting of the all new Cat D7 High Drive track type tractor which was on static display and which I took a look around on the day before the official opening of the show.
Our friend Scott Colclough aka Pushysix got up close and personal with the new model at Caterpillar’s Tinaja Hills proving ground in Arizona pre-Conexpo, and has produced this informative video on the product that has re-entered Caterpillar’s line up of tractors. Get the lowdown in the video below.
