Compact Dozer and Loader Combo

CASE’s compact dozer loader concept has been rumbling around in development probably for the past two years, but now this one-of-a-kind machine is finally out in the big wide world.

Described by CASE as being, part loader, part dozer, all beast, the Minotaur DL550 is situating itself as an entirely new machine category, the likes of which have not been seen before. A compact tracked machine with the ability to doze and grade material thanks to its innovative chassis-integrated C-frame with six-way dozer blade, which can be quickly swapped for a heavy-duty 1.25-cubic yard bucket for loading, this is set to be one tough all-round competitor.

This machine is certain to be a big hit in the North American market where they do love themselves a compact skid steer loader, which they use to perform a multitude of jobs with. With its high-performance dozing capabilities this “beast” of a machine is set to take that versatility to a whole new level.

As one might expect the machine is also a very capable tool carrier and can be fitted with a whole myriad of work attachments.

The machine features no less than 29 patents, and has amassed over 10,000 hours of field trials, with operator evaluations and product customer clinics, in response to these trials and the feedback gathered refinements were made until they were totally satisfied to bring the machine to market.

It certainly looks to be the real deal, and an all-powerful beast, its one I look forward to putting to the test at some point in the future!
