Digger’s Conexpo Highlights: LiuGong Launches a Raft of New Models at Conexpo
LiuGong chose Conexpo 2020 to launch a whole raft of new models to the North American market, including some already seen in the UK sector, but some previously unseen machines.
Business is booming for Chinese manufacturer LiuGong and despite the current global Covid-19 situation we would expect that to continue once this unsettling disease has been defeated and we all get back to normality.
At Conexpo 2020 LiuGong displayed an example of its latest F-Series excavators, in this instance the 922F, the stylish upgrade to their popular E Series model which has sold very well in the UK, especially in the demolition sector.
The 22-ton 922F alongside its larger brothers in the F-Series range, feature electronically controlled hydraulic systems and fuel-efficient engines. The company says it designed the excavators for “high operating efficiency, low fuel consumption and low noise.” I’m looking forward to getting up close and personal with the new F-Series models hopefully in the not too distant future.
LiuGong also displayed examples from its E-Series range including the 9-tonne 909E CR and the 50-tonne class 950E, which you can see in our walkaround video below.
The company also displayed new models from its mini excavator range, I will be covering these in my compact machinery report from the show in a future edition of Earthmovers Magazine.
Perhaps the biggest showstopper on the stand was the Dressta TD16-N bulldozer, which has been well-documented on this blog over the past couple of weeks. The machine which has received the prestigious Red Dot design award was widely applauded by the many visitors who attended the LiuGong booth in Las Vegas.
I was lucky enough to obtain an exclusive interview with Kevin Thieneman the Vice President & Executive Chairman of LiuGong Machinery North America, you can see what he had to say in our video below.
