Dynamic Duo Fly the flag for Kinshofer at Bauma
Following the success of Ed Butler’s performance at Conexpo in Las Vegas just before the world went mad in 2020, attachment manufacturer Kinshofer invited Ed back for Bauma, and also brought along tiltrotator aficionado Steve Williamson to form a dynamic tag team of demonstrators at the Bavarian machinery fest!
Ed Butler who we have featured on this blog before, works for the family plant hire and contracting business in South Wales, and runs a Kinshofer-NOX tiltrotator on his Wacker Neuson EW100 wheeled excavator. A long-term supporter of the NOX Ed has formed a great working relationship with Kinshofer over the years which looks set to continue.
For Bauma, the biggest trade fair for construction machinery in the world, one machine is never enough, and as such Kinshofer decided to deploy two machines of different sizes and invited well-known tiltrotator operator Steve Williamson to team up with Ed for the duration of the show.
Steve who hails from Scotland, is a well-known name in the tiltrotator world on social media, having created the Facebook group Tiltrotator Operators Media which is rapidly heading towards the 40k members milestone, all credit to the man as he has put in a massive effort to establish the group since its creation in 2017.
The likeable lads had clearly struck up a “bromance” during their time at Bauma and it was great to see the camaraderie between them on the stand.
As for the demo itself the lads had a wide variety of attachments at their disposal and developed some fantastic and engaging routines to keep crowds entertained, and being located right next to the giant Liebherr stand a good crowd was always guaranteed.
Doing demonstrations numerous times, a day for an entire week can be mentally exhausting, but these two guys smashed it day after day, a real credit to themselves and the whole Kinshofer team who supported them along the way, next stop for the boys looks to be Conexpo in April next year, If I make it there myself, I will be sure to be looking them up again.
But for now, checkout the stunning video put together by our talented Construction Collective colleague and genius videographer Freddie Anthony on behalf of Kinshofer.
