Ejecting back to ConExpo/Con-Agg

Time has certainly flown by since we were all over in Las Vegas for the ConExpo/Con-Agg trade fair, but something popped up on the internet yesterday that reminded me of the K-Tec stand which covered some 20,000 square feet in the new West Hall.

K-Tec are most well known for their quirky towed scraper offerings which are attached to converted ADT tractor units, but at ConExpo they also brought along their EJB4X Ejector Body system which was displayed mounted onto a Volvo A45G ADT.

The Ejector Body has a load capacity of 43 US Tons and is also suitable for mounting on 40 tonne class A40G ADT’s. This system is seen as a safer way to eject material with a much lower point of gravity, resulting in less truck rollovers when compared to traditional tipping body ADT’s. There is also the option to distribute the load while still on the move, enabling the operator to spread out the material, in around 12-14 seconds, speeding up the whole process and getting the truck back to the loading point more quickly.
