Hidromek forestry machine tackles the timber in Spain

I came across this video last week, which has been produced by our Turkish friends at Hidromek. The clip displays another variation to the ever expanding product line from this exciting manufacturer.

This video features a high specification HMK220LC hydraulic excavator, that has been specially produced for the rigorous forestry sector, seen here at work in Galicia in Spain. Special adaptations include protective side panels, strengthening bars around the top of the superstructure, cab guard, heavy duty undercarriage and dozer blade. The machine is also equipped with a winch for pulling the timber around on the ground once felled. At the business end, the machine is equipped with a Finnish Lako harvesting head, which is possibly an 83HD model.

Hidromek are no strangers to special adaptations of its machinery products, including high reach demolition excavators, material handlers and as regular readers of my blog may recall, I reported on a special tunnelling excavator model, which was once again based on the popular HMK220LC model.
