Hidromek special adaptations

This video which was produced by our Turkish friends at Hidromek, displays another variation to the ever expanding product line from this exciting manufacturer.

This video features a high specification HMK220NLC hydraulic excavator, that has been specially produced for the rigorous forestry sector, seen here at work in Galicia in Spain. Special adaptations include protective side panels, strengthening bars around the top of the superstructure, cab guard, heavy duty undercarriage and dozer blade.

The machine is also equipped with a winch for pulling the timber around on the ground once felled. At the business end, the machine is equipped with a Finnish Lako harvesting head, which is possibly an 83HD model.

Hidromek are no strangers to special adaptations of its machinery products, including high reach demolition excavators, material handlers and as regular readers of my blog may recall, I reported on a special tunnelling excavator model, which was once again based on the popular HMK220LC model. The one pictured below during my visit to the factory was an early example of this variant.

Hidromek also manufacture 3 models of long reach excavator, including the the 22 tonne class HMK220LC LR pictured below, the 30 tonne class HMK300LC LR and the 37 tonne HMK370LC LR.

I predict a big year in the UK next year for our two Hidromek dealers, Buntons Plant and TJC Plant Sales, as more and more UK end users realise the potential of these machines in general and the quality of design built into them.
