Italian flair from Venieri

Although still relatively rare as a stand alone brand here in the UK Italian manufacturer Venieri have a long 70 year history in the manufacture of equipment both on wheels and tracks.

Italian flair from Venieri
It was 1948 when Ferdinando and Carlo Venieri produced their very first machine which was a crawler tractor. In 1953 the family owned business launched a new tracked type tractor which was powered by a Slanzi engine with two power options, the 3 cylinder 40hp version and the 4 cylinder unit offering a power output of 50hp. Many milestones have been passed over the years including the launch of its own Micron 20 loader in 1958, followed in 1960 with the launch of its own tracked loading shovel powered by a 60hp Ford engine and in 1968 the company claimed to have been the first to introduce a hydrostatic transmission into an earthmoving machine. This interesting company has also built machines for other manufacturers over the years including Massey Ferguson, Case as seen below with a range of 5 different machines produced for the European market from 1994-1998 and more recently Yanmar in 2015. Based in Via Piratello, Lugo the Venieri factory covers 70,000m2 with a covered area of 20.000m2, which consists of production facilities, a research and development section and a testing ground for prototypes and finished machines. Today’s range of products consists of wheeled loaders, articulated backhoe loaders and compact loader/backhoes like the 1.33B seen below at Bauma. Just recently the company delivered two significant orders for the Bangladesh Army and the Italian Air Force supplying wheeled loaders and backhoe loaders from its specialist military department.
