JCB Launches Electric Compact Loader

JCB chose Cologne in Germany to reveal an new all-electric compact wheeled loader to an illustrious gathering of the industry press last week.

The new JCB 403E is the latest machine to join the company’s all-electric E-Tech range of machinery. With an operating weight of 2729kgs, and a bucket capacity of 0.5m3, the compact machine is well suited to a wide variety of applications and diverse industries, and will be of particular use to those working in noise sensitive environments, congested inner city sites, underground applications and agricultural jobs.

The 403E features rapid charging capabilities, taking only 2 hours to fully charge the 20kWh battery, when fully charged the machine is capable of a continuous run time of around 4 hours, and with additional top ups during lunchbreaks should be able to work a full day. All charging cable and plugs are compatible with the rest of the JCB E-Tech range.
