JCB’s Teleskid from an American Farmers Perspective

Since its launch in 2018 the tracked variant of JCB’s Teleskid has proven to be something of a gamechanger. An American cattle farmer has recently had one on demo and in the video below we get his thoughts on the machine.

JCB’s Teleskid from an American Farmers Perspective
The 3TS-8T Teleskid to give it its full title, offers a maximum load height of 4.1m and an impressive forward reach of 2.25m which totally transforms conventional skid steer operations. The Teleskid is powered by JCB’s proven 4.4-litre EcoMAX diesel engine, delivering 55kW (74hp) and 400Nm of torque. The engine meets US Tier 4 Final/EU Stage IIIB emissions standards. The machine sits atop a solid undercarriage with twin-speed track motors, offering a maximum travel speed of up to 7.8mph. The wide, traction lug rubber tracks provide maximum grip in difficult ground conditions, while delivering reduced ground pressure, when compared to a wheeled machine such as a small telehandler or a forklift. Another big bonus for end users, as the American dealer rep explains, is JCB’s unique side cab entry. Add to that the versatility to add a wide range of attachments it’s easy to see that the JCB Teleskid is without doubt a game changer!
