Komatsu on Full Charge at Intermat

Komatsu had a large presence at Intermat 2024 with a wide range of products on display, both indoors and outdoors at the far end of Hall 5B.

Komatsu on Full Charge at Intermat

The theme at Intermat this year was aimed at low carbon in the construction sector, and the industry’s race to net zero emissions. In keeping with that theme Komatsu once again had a strong focus on electric powered machines.

On the indoor demo area, the company launched not one, but three new electric mini excavators.

The new machines consisted of the 2-tonne class PC20E, 2.5-tonne PC26E and the 3.5-tonne PC33E models which are said to offer a range of features that will appeal to owners and operators including quiet operation, powerful performance, long run times, and versatile charging options, in addition to offering zero-emissions at point of use.

Also appearing on the demo sand pit were the recently launched 13-tonne class PC138E-11 and the 20-tonne class PC210E-11 which we first saw during Bauma 2022 in Munich.

I didn’t have time to capture the demonstrations myself, but check out this promotional video from Komatsu for more information.
