Liebherr at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2023

Continuing our post Conexpo-Con/Agg coverage here on the Digger Man Blog this week, starting with a look around the Liebherr stand.

Liebherr at Conexpo-Con/Agg 2023

The Liebherr booth at ConExpo-Con/Agg is always impressive, of course it doesn’t quite compare with the manufacturers mind blowing stand at Bauma, which is totally off the charts, but its still a fantastic presentation of the German companies outstanding range of products, and there really is something for everyone on the stand, from big dozers, to cranes and excavators and everything in between!

Liebherr’s booth at Conexpo covered some 5,600 m2 of exhibition area and featured over 30 different machines from seven of their product offerings, including earthmoving, material handling, mobile and crawler cranes, and deep foundation equipment.

Top of the list for me was the earthmoving equipment on display. The Generation 8 range of hydraulic excavators were first launched in to the US market during the Covid stricken 2020 ConExpo event and have been well received in the North American market.

On display this time around were the R 924 and the R 945A models which feature increased engine power, higher breakout forces and larger heavier counterweights.

Making its US debut was the PR 766 G8 crawler dozer, the second largest dozer in the Liebherr range, and the latest model to feature its high drive style track. With an operating weight 119,784lbs, the PR 766 is aimed at the heavy earthmoving and mining sectors, however, the unit on display appeared to be sporting a waste handling blade.

At the other end of the Liebherr dozer scale, its smallest offering the PR 716 was also presented on the stand, a machine which has been getting great reviews from customers/end users here in the UK.

On the demo plot the PR 914 Compact hydraulic excavator was also being used to demonstrate Liebherr’s hydraulic quick coupling system.

Take a walk with me around the stand as I checked out some of the highlights.
