McCloskey invading Finland

In December 2023 RealMachinery were appointed as the new dealers for McCloskey crushers, screeners and stackers in Finland.

The first machine to arrive in Finland was the R155 screener, which landed just in time to make an appearance at the Mansen Mörinät event in April.

Throughout the month of May, three more machines arrived in Finland, consisting of 2 x TS4080 stackers, and 1 x J4 jaw crusher.

On May 30^th RealMachinery held a demonstration event in an open pit quarry located in Valkeakoski, (around 18 minutes’ drive away from RM yard in Lempäälä). 3 x McCloskey machines were showcased, including the J4 crusher, R155 screener and the TS4080 stacker all working in-situ as a production line.

Working alongside the McCloskey kit, were 3 products from the Develon range, of which RealMachinery are also main dealers of, these machines consisted of a DX380LC-7 hydraulic excavator, DL480-7 wheeled loader, and a DX300LC-7 equipped with a Demerec hydraulic hammer, all supplied by WRent (the rental division of Wihuri and RealMachinery).

In the traditional manner, the DX380LC-7 was used to feed the J4 crusher, whilst the DL480 was used to pick up and stack the processed materials. The DX300 with hammer was not deployed but was on hand to break up and oversized rocks if needed.

According to our friend Viljami Saloniemi, “The machines were truly tested because, as we know, Finland has some of the toughest conditions when it comes to rock crushing, but as we expected, the machines worked like champions and it was a piece of cake for them!”.
