Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
So, its that time of year again, when in the traditional way of the construction machinery world, we park up the kit and head home for some well-deserved festive downtime.
It’s been another interesting year for myself and the Digger Man Blog and although we are facing new challenges as each year passes, the future is still looking good for this platform.
There were a decent number of collaborations with manufacturers and overseas visits in 2024, and looking at the advanced dates on the calendar, that looks set to continue in 2025.
Its going to be a big year for shows, with the big daddy of all exhibitions, the triennial Bauma Trade Fair taking place in April, and our very own Plantworx in September, not forgetting the Executive Hire Show in February to kick them all off.
In addition, I will be once again be making a pilgrimage to my beloved Finland for the Mansen Mörinät open house event a week or two after Bauma, which is one of my all-time personal favourites, so there is plenty to look forward too.
On the social media side of things, our Digger Man Blog Facebook page bimbles along, but its our Instagram page that continues to be the best performing platform and I think it will continue to be that way going forward. LinkedIn is another great platform for me to share our material and to network with true professionals in the industry, which often leads to exciting and engaging site visits for both Earthmovers Magazine and this blog.
Twitter now known as X has kind of lost its way I feel, but we continue to have a presence there, as for TikTok, I still find it a very strange platform, but its one of those where we are expected to be!
Anyway, that’s enough waffling on, I would just like to take this opportunity to thank everyone we have worked with this year, you know who you are, and most importantly, everyone who continues to follow me and my Digger Man Blog brand across all the channels. In a world of hugely financed media operations, your continued support for my humble little one-man band platform, is very much appreciated, so thank you!
A BIG shoutout also goes to my small team of admins, who help me manage the Facebook group on a daily basis, cheers lads!
We will be back in action again on 6th January. I wish you all, a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
All the very best … Nick
