New Cat H Series motor scrapers get to work for TRN down under

I recently came across some cracking photos from an Australian Earthmoving page on Facebook, and Quinton Cowling has kindly agreed to let me share them with the Digger Man Blog readership.

New Cat H Series motor scrapers get to work for TRN down under
Family owned business, TRN Group, run an extensive fleet of earthmoving equipment on jobsites all across New South Wales, from its base in Glenlee near Narellan. The machine fleet is constantly upgraded and most recently they took delivery of two of the latest Caterpillar 627 H Series motor scrapers, which went straight out to work on a site in Sydney. Details are sketchy, but by all accounts the company has been very impressed with the machines that have replaced outgoing 627G models. The new H Series machines are now equipped with Cat’s GradeControl system, which is aimed at making the operation of these machines far more simpler and operator friendly. Look out for a full report on the new H Series scrapers by Geoff Ashcroft, in a future edition of Earthmovers Magazine. In the meantime here is a promotional video from Caterpillar, featuring the machines in action.
I’m looking forward to covering more job reports from the TRN Group in the future here on the Digger Man Blog.
