The CAT Backhoe Loader Song

Our resident backhoe loader fan Kenneth Hatcher has come up with a little and rather unknown video clip featuring a digger themed song.

Who actually ever knew there was a song written about Caterpillar backhoe loaders, well rest assured, as Ken who spent 30 years operating them, and remains an enthusiastic supporter of the BHL concept to this day, actually had the “Cat Backhoe Loader Song" on vinyl record back in 1988.

Most of us only know the famous JCB song in its various formats, so it was interesting to discover this was actually a thing! It’s a tad on the cheesy side, but there is some good old footage of the early CAT US market style centre mount backhoes in action.

The somewhat grainy video was recently featured on the Breakfast Show as Ken had shared it with them, but I just couldn’t resist featuring it here on the Digger Man Blog too as it’s a great fit with what we do and have done historically.
