The Sun Shines on JCB’s Influencer Day

Influencers are the current buzz word in the construction machinery sector, as in other business sectors as marketing teams look for new ways to get their message out to the masses, JCB have also been keen to get involved in this kind of thing and held another such event last week.

This latest influencer gathering focused largely on the new 145XR reduced tail-swing hydraulic excavator and a raft of other new products and technologies that I had the pleasure of seeing a couple of days before. However, the influencers were blessed with vastly improved weather conditions for their visit, than we encountered with heavy mist descending in the famous JCB Kevin Quarry venue on the day of my visit.

The influencers consist largely of machine operators with a large online following, who document their operating skills and or machinery on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram and TikTok and as we know, some have seen it evolve into a high earning side hustle or in some cases a full-time occupation, which is all credit to them for the time and dedication it takes to constantly produce such content, something I personally am very aware of.
