Thwaites ROTATOR had heads spinning at Hillhead

The Machine You’ve Always Wanted, From the Brand You’ve Always Trusted, reads the headline from long established British site dumper manufacturer Thwaites, as they revealed the all-new ROTATOR R9 at Hillhead 2024 last month.

Rumours of this 9-tonne class machine from Thwaites, have been circulating for some considerable time now, and as such it was great to see this pre-production model being displayed in public for the first time at Hillhead in Buxton.

Double view, fully cabbed, site dumpers, have become increasingly popular on job sites across the UK in recent years and its not hard to see why. Being able to rotate the seat totally eliminates the need for any dangerous reversing operations, enabling the operator to perform his work safely, with great visibility whilst always facing the direction he needs to be when driving. Most site dumper manufacturers are offering this kind of solution now, and those who are currently not, are said to be developing them, so its a natural progression across the board. 

Available as a straight tip or swivel skip variant, the full production model is expected to be available in the Spring of 2025, in the meantime, checkout this video from Thwaites where we find out more about the machine from our good friend Will Redman who is the Distributor Manager at Thwaites Ltd.
