Volvo short swing radius mini excavators on show at Bauma
The new Volvo ECR25D, ECR58D and ECR88D short swing radius compact excavators are ideal when working in tight and congested jobsites. According to Volvo, these latest D-Series compact excavators boast digging performance, breakout forces, and lifting capabilities that rival their larger counterparts. These machines also feature engines that offer superior performance and reduced fuel consumption.   The ECR25D has the added feature of high mobility, which will be of particular interest to UK end users. The machine can be transported with up to three buckets and a hydraulic breaker on a small trailer and still weigh less than 3.5 tonnes, including the trailer. The ECR25D, ECR58D models are available with a mono-boom, and the ECR88D can be supplied with an optional two-piece boom which is always popular in Europe. Volvo also offer several different dipper  arm configurations. The operators cab is classic Volvo, with a high level of specification, ergonomically located controls and switches, and excellent all round vision, from what is a very spacious cab interior for a compact machine. These latest upgrades from Volvo are sure to appeal to the brands faithful followers. It’s expected that a number of these new models will be making an appearance at the forthcoming Plantworx event, at Stoneleigh later this month.
