XCMG on the March!

It’s been a long time coming, but XCMG the third largest construction machinery manufacturer you’ve never heard of, are now out in force in the UK, with demonstration models doing the rounds as I type!

A dealer network is being set up around the country and talking too the team on the XCMG stand at Plantworx, interest is proving to be very high indeed.

I’m still to get any seat time in one of these machines, but I did a bit of browsing on the internet over the weekend and came across a customer testimonial video from the guys at Deals on Wheels down in New Zealand who paid a visit to Dwayne Pauley of Pristine Projects who purchased New Zealands very first XCMG mini excavator, a 4.2-tonne XE35U zero-tail swing model about a year ago, supplied by dealer AdvanceQuip.

As with the majority of Chinese built machines the XCMG machines feature well proven blue-chip components under the skin. The XE35U for example is powered by a Japanese built Yanmar 3TNV88F engine, a very familiar model that we see in a wide range of other machines these days.

The zero tail-swing design makes the machine flexible and versatile for operating in tight job sites and confined spaces, such as urban streets and residential properties.
