Flying the Finnish Flag in Las Vegas
Established in 1991, Avant Techno, who are based in Ylöjärvi, Finland has had a meteoric rise to prominence with their unique compact loaders, which are manufactured in a state-of-the-art facility in Finland, where they have manufactured in excess of 50,000 machines, the family owned business has sales offices in the US, UK, Germany and Brazil, and has import partners in more than 55 countries globally.
This time around they were a little bit tucked away on the Diamond Lot, but I found them on my last day at the show and had to get some footage of one of the machines on the demo plot, in this instance the smallest example in the 700 Series, the 735 OptiDrive model, complete with telescopic boom and a 4-in-1 bucket, which was being put through its paces by one of the American members of staff on the stand.
Also represented on the demo plot was the companies Legua access platform that has a maximum working height of 22.5 metres. One of the Avant team took the opportunity to take a bird’s eye view of that part of the showground, not good for those with a fear of heights!
The Avant compact loaders really are such a versatile piece of kit, capable of carrying over 200 different attachments, checkout the 735 in action in the Las Vegas sunshine.
