IJ Lynn grabs more from Epiroc

Armoy based drainage and earthworks contractor IJ Lynn & Sons has invested in an MG 1500 multi grapple and MB 1650 breaker manufactured by Epiroc, a productivity partner for the mining, infrastructure and natural resources industries. Having spent the last three years using Epiroc’s Solid Body breakers, IJ Lynn & Sons decided to stick with the brand for its new purchases and worked with local dealer WAC McCandless (Engineers) Ltd.

“We’ve been using the new breaker and grapple to demolish a waste water treatment plant and then remove the waste from the site,” said owner Ivan lynn. “I’ve been particularly impressed with the MG 1500 R – the rotation unit on the grab makes it so much faster and more flexible than our old grab.” Meanwhile, the team have used the MB 1650 hammer to break up the water tanks, moving the large pieces of debris to an area of the site where they can be broken down quickly and easily using the company’s Epiroc SB breakers, before removing it from the site for recycling.

Epiroc’s range of demolition tools includes cutters, steel shears, pulverisers, grapples, bucket crushers, screening buckets, drum cutters, compactors and magnets.
