JCB Digs Deep For Poppy Appeal
JCB’s unique poppy-liveried mini-excavator has been auctioned, the winning bid of £25,500 having been made by Arnold Plant Hire. In addition, JCB commissioned Stoke-on-Trent ceramics company Valentine Clays to craft 255 bone china poppies, one for each soldier in Uttoxeter and the surrounding villages who lost their life in WW1. The limited edition poppies sold out within days and raised a further £6375 for the Royal British Legion’s Poppy Appeal. The total raised for the Royal British Legion was £31,875.
