Komatsu’s D71PXi-24 Fits the Bill for Tru7 Group
Komatsu’s new 25-tonne class DX71PXi-24 is a direct competitor for Caterpillar’s D7 product, and Komatsu claim it to be the largest hydrostatic transmission dozer C/W factory-fitted integrated machine control or in Komatsu speak, (Intelligent Control iMC 2.0) on the market today.
The machine which offers superior forward visibility compared to other dozers on the market, is powered by a 237hp Komatsu diesel engine, and will be pitched in the same class as Komatsu’s existing D65 models.
The machine offers Komatsu’s patented automatic levelling control, both in cut and in backfill of existing ground, and it can work in automatic 100% of the time.
In Peter’s excellent video below, he interviews Tru7 Group's Operations Director Jake Nicholls on site and talks in depth about the new machine which has been supplied by UK dealers Marubeni-Komatsu. We also get the first impressions from long time dozer operator Timothy Harris who gives us some excellent operator feedback on the dozer.
