Liebherr loader
A Liebherr L 586 XPower wheel loader recently entered service at Meyer Recycling GmbH facility in west Berlin, Germany. The 33-tonne machine is tasked with filling screening plants and loading trucks with processed material – the latter job something it can do in just two cycles, apparently.
Launched at Bauma 2019, the L 586 XPower runs a 354hp Stage 5 emissions compliant engine, and boasts a 6.50-cubic-metre bucket. Arguably its most interesting feature is its joystick steering system; the position of the joystick always corresponds to the respective articulation angle of the wheel loader, says Liebherr. The set up is said to provide usefull feedback, too.
