MKM Hire hits 350 JCB machines
MKM Hire has celebrated the purchase of its 350th JCB machine as it continues its rapid expansion.
MKM, the UK’s largest independent builders’ merchant, entered the rental sector in 2022 with the formation of its dedicated tool & plant division - MKM Hire. Since then, the company has invested in a fleet of 350 JCB machines – all supplied by dealer TC Harrison JCB - including 100 1.5 tonne conventional tailswing 16C-1 mini excavator models.

We will continue with expansion plans and open another ten hire branches across the UK over the next 12 months, each prioritising local expertise and outstanding customer service.”

Originally founded in Hull in 1995, MKM launched its dedicated tool & plant division MKM Hire in 2022 and has now opened 18 tool hire depots nationwide. It offers a range of JCB machines including micro and mini excavators, site dumpers, compaction rollers, access platforms and tracked dumpsters.
