New Komatsu PC88MR-11 midi excavator
Komatsu has revealed a successor to its respected MR-10 midi excavator. The new PC88MR-11 is said to have a seriously impressive standard specification, and is driven by a more powerful Stage 5 emissions-compliant engine with DPF and without need for SCR. Compared to its predecessor, it comes with an even more modern and distinctive body styling and an operationally attractive 20mm lower transport height. Stats wise, the new PC88MR-11 delivers 7% greater productivity with speedier hoist/swing operations, as well as 6% lower litres-per-hour fuel consumption, plus 14% increased levelling speed, and a 12% boost in attachment oil flow.
Other features include an improved blade shape with switchable hi/lo travel, a low noise and reduced fuel fan clutch system, LED work lamps, automatic 2-way to 1-way to 2-way attachment switching, and easy-to-monitor attachment flow settings. All engine maintenance items are located on one side of the machine and accessible from ground level. Operators are also treated to Bluetooth radio, large access doors, and easy floor mat cleaning.
