South-west Sunward dealer Conagri opens the first of three new depots.
Construction and agricultural equipment dealer group Conagri is more than doubling its footprint in the UK with the opening of the first of three new depots. Just nine months after the extensive redevelopment of its HQ near Exeter in Devon to a 5,500ft2 footprint, Conagri will open a 8,000ft2 depot near Weston Super Mare in Somerset in a collaboration with leading regional independent agricultural machinery dealer Michael Burdge Ltd.
Michael Burdge have invested substantially in stock in this their first venture into construction equipment. With Michael’s son Ed at the helm, they will deal exclusively with Sunward excavators from a new, purpose-built complex on their own premises, and already have 10 on site.
Conagri redeveloped its own HQ last May to offer a two-storey office complex, showroom and workshops, and hosted its first popular summer “Arrive and drive” events where members of the public and local tradespeople can get up close and personal with Sunward machines. The group has been Sunward’s dealer for Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset for the past 18 months and with this expansion has added Wiltshire to the stable. In that short time, numerous machines have sold.
Sunward was the host theme for the group’s first fortnightly “Foodie Friday” when 80 members of the public and local tradespeople were treated to a free breakfast, tour of the premises and demonstrations of the Sunward machines.
Conagri’s business development manager Andrew Venton said: “This is an exciting time for Conagri, and with Sunward at our side, we are confident the group will go from strength to strength in 2025.” Ed Burdge said: “We are very excited to be opening this new depot with Conagri and to be venturing into the construction sector with a manufacturer of the standing of Sunward.”
The locations of the other two new depots, along with other innovative Conagri developments for 2025, will be announced at a later date.
