Thailand receives biggest ever excavators
Hitachi Construction Machinery Thailand recently handed over seven enormous EX3600E-6LD mining excavators to Italian-Thai Development, a civil contractor and construction business based in Bangkok, Thailand. The electrically driven Hitachi diggers were presented in a grand ceremony attended by executives from both companies.
The 362-tonne EX3600E-6LD excavators are being put to use excavating coal for the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand at Mae Moh Mine, Lampang Province. Hitachi Construction Machinery Thailand is a technical support service provider. The EX3600E-6LD is the largest excavator ever delivered in Thailand and boasts an impressive 23m3 bucket, plus a continuous output of 1,200kW from its high-voltage, three-phase induction motor.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Thailand and Italian-Thai Development have been business partners since 2000 and intend to collaborate on future projects in Mae Moh Mine, as well as on national projects.
