Volvo hauler for JSJ
Northampton-based JSJ Construction has expanded its fleet of ground working equipment with a new Volvo A25G articulated hauler, the first factory fresh machine in the company's 30-strong fleet.
Run by Managing Director Steve Smith and brothers Joseph and John McGowan, JSJ Construction now boasts three 25-tonne Volvo trucks in its plant line up – impressive given the company was only established four years ago.
The Volvo A25G articulated hauler can carry 25 tonnes, with a heaped capacity of 15.3m3. It is powered by a Stage IV Volvo V-ACT six-cylinder engine developing 318hp with maximum torque of 1,942Nm achieved at 1,100rpm. The engine is linked to a Volvo transmission with drop box and predictive gear selection. The A25G also features heavy duty axles with outboard wet disc brakes.
