Bergmann Tracked Dumper Impresses Seay Earthmovers

Around a year ago Taupo, New Zealand based Seay Earthmovers had a specific job to do, which their big 30-tonne ADT’s would have been too heavy for, so they turned to Porter Hire for a LGP tracked dumper solution.

Porter Hire suggested the Bergmann C 912 S would be the perfect fit for the job, which involved distributing loads of sand to be spread on top of a pond liner membrane, for which with its swivel skip proved to be an ideal fit for the job.

Manufactured in Germany by Bergmann Maschinenbau GmbH & Co, these machines are serious pieces of top-quality German engineering and is brimming with blue-chip components. Power comes from a Stage V emissions compliant Cummins diesel engine offering a power output rating of 180kw @2,200 rpm.

With an operating weight when empty of 14,850 kg, the powerful machine features a 10,000kg payload and the skip can rotate a full 360-degrees, enabling you to tip the material just where its needed even on jobsites that are cramped and narrow.

A powerful and robust track drive system, offers excellent off-road mobility, and secure grip when working on steep gradients.

I have seen these machines at the big trade shows in the past, most recently at Conexpo (see image above) in Las Vegas last year, but I have not had the chance to put one of these to the test as yet, I would certainly like to do so at some point in the future, so watch this space.
