Buzzing for Liebherr’s Electric Compact Loader
We first spotted Liebherr’s L 507 E, the manufacturers first battery-electric compact loader during Bauma in Munich last year, where it was showcased on the outdoor demo plot.
The L 507 E combines the proven advantages of Liebherr’s excellent Generation 8 Stereoloader models with the addition of a battery-electric drive system developed by Liebherr.
With an operating weight ranging from 5,815 - 6,195 kg depending on spec and bucket capacities of 0.80 - 1.60 m³ the L 507 E offers the same performance as a conventional wheel loader in its comparative size class, but without local CO2 emissions. In addition, the new wheel loader’s low noise emissions make it ideal for use in areas where low noise and exhaust values are particularly important, such as on roads, in the city or in enclosed areas such as warehouses and factories
According to Liebherr, the lithium-ion technology integrated into the L 507 E with its mean voltage of 322 V provides optimal performance. Depending on the on-board charger and power rating, the battery can be completely recharged in one and a half to three hours.
The on-board charging system guarantees fast charging without additional external equipment, while making easy intermediate charging possible and increasing the machines versatility. With just one flap to open in the cab access area of the wheel loader, the charging process is as simple as can be.
