Coles take the first Volvo EC380E in the South West

North Devon based Coles Plant have recently taken delivery of the first Volvo EC380E hydraulic excavator in the South West of England.

The machine which was one of the star attractions on the Volvo stand at the Hillhead Mining and Quarrying show, arrived on site last Wednesday and was put straight to work by its operator Dave Pratley on a bulk dig out close to Exeter. Seen as a significant departure from the company's usual chosen brand of excavator, the Volvo machine was on Dave Pratley's wish list as his chosen new mount, having previously test driven a competitors Hybrid model which he was not that impressed with. The EC380E joins another recent Volvo addition to the Coles fleet, in the form of an EC220D LC model.

We were there to capture the action and I will be reporting in depth on the new addition to the Coles fleet in a future edition of Earthmovers Magazine.
