Doosan/Develon Dozer Put to a Snowy Test

While searching for something else over the weekend I came across this video from our American friend Garrett Williams of Monticello, Minnesota-based G&M Outdoors.

Garrett runs a Caterpillar D3 on his fleet, which was supplied by local Cat dealer Ziegler-Cat in a very distinctive white livery to match other machines they run in the business.

However, he was keen to try out the new Doosan (Now Develon) DD100 dozer which is comparable in size to his existing tractor, all be it, slightly larger, and was delighted to receive a demo unit from Develon-North America to evaluate on site shifting snow in freezing winter conditions.  

The DD100, tips the scales with an operating weight of 25,309lbs pitching it in the market of “D3-D4” weight class models, with power coming from a 122hp Doosan diesel engine.

Develon also launched its larger brother the 130hp DD130 at Conexpo in Las Vegas earlier this year, and examples of that model are now out and about on field trials in Europe, where it is expected to be a more popular size for the market, in fact our friends over at Technique TP the French forum have recently been putting one to the test during a photoshoot assignment.
