Gearing Up for Bauma (Mecalac)

In the latest of our Gearing Up for Bauma series of blog posts, we take a look at some of the things we expect to see in Munich from Mecalac.

Gearing Up for Bauma (Mecalac)

It’s going to be business as usual at Bauma on the Mecalac stand following the recent news of the takeover by the Fayat Group. On the 1,500 m² stand in the heart of the show we expect to see some exclusive new machines making their world premieres and being showcased on an extended 400+ m² demonstration arena, with live demos taking place every hour.

Mecalac with all thier usual French flair, will have a vast range of machines on stand FM711/2 at the outdoor area, with no less than 25 models available for visitors to see.

There will also be new electric powered machines added to the range, bringing their electric offerings up to 5 models, some of which were first showcased at the last Bauma show in 2022 as seen above.

But we would say, the most revolutionary (pun intended) and innovative machine to be revealed will be the all new REVO990 backhoe loader, which brings an industry first revolving cab feature to the world of backhoe loaders for the very first time.

This machine has been designed to overcome the limitations of traditional backhoe loaders. According to Mecalac, the Revo990 simplifies operations while ensuring maximum precision and ease of use. Its game-changing rotating cab eliminates the need for operators to twist and turn their bodies to switch between loader and excavator functions, reducing fatigue and boosting productivity.

This new machine sounds like a dream solution to the age-old problem of having to spin the seat around, and the constant need to turn around to put jack legs and front bucket down etc

Alexandre Marchetta, Chairman of the Mecalac Group said: “At Mecalac, our commitment to innovation is unwavering. The Revo990 embodies our vision of the evolution of the industry, where safety, ease of use, efficiency, and profitability are at the heart of every design.”

This is a machine which is seriously high on my list of things to see during my limited time at the show this year, its going to be a busy few days for sure!
