Gearing Up for Bauma (Volvo Construction Equipment)
In the latest in our Gearing Up for Bauma series, we are taking a look at what we can expect to see on the Volvo Construction Equipment stand in Munich.
At the triennial machinery fest that is Bauma, Volvo Construction Equipment will be making a big statement by showcasing only electric powered machines from their large range of products.
Naturally the manufacturer will still be offering diesel-powered models, however, the company has made it clear that these will not be appearing at Bauma.

Volvo’s electric powered 23-tonne class EC230 has been around for a while now, and we have seen it at both Conexpo in Las Vegas, and at Intermat in Paris last year, in Munich we expect to see an upgraded model of this mid-sized hydraulic excavator on the stand.
Visitors can also expect to see the L120 Electric and L90 Electric wheeled loaders, some examples of which we saw during the last Volvo Days event.

In addition, Volvo will be presenting the plug-in EW240 Electric wheeled material handler as the manufacturer continues to push on in its eco friendly journey, and as its Bauma, who knows, maybe there will be other surprises that they have not revealed yet!

Summarizing, Melker Jernberg, president of Volvo CE, said: “We are at a critical moment in our industry’s transformation. With our biggest launch ever, featuring a range of versatile technologies, we are prepared to offer industry-leading products, services, and solutions to assist customers at any stage of their transformation journey. We stand firm in our commitments to innovation, sustainability and leadership in the industry.”
