More than happy with Hyundai

Rye Demolition part of the Rye Group have been very impressed with the Hyundai Dash 9 range of excavators, having just recently ordered more machines from dealer Molsons. I thought it would be good to take a look at some more of my site visit shots that didn’t feature in last month’s edition of Earthmovers.

Managing Director Simon Barlow has nothing but praise for the Korean brand, having recently made the transition from another Korean make, Simon said, “The operators like them and I have been impressed by the standard of service we have received from Molson’s all the way”. The Hyundai product has certainly come a long way in recent years with operators especially impressed with the levels of comfort in the cab. During our site visit the new kid on the block was the R220-9A which was being operated by Tony Corbett. But the Rye Groups first Hyundai machines were a pair of second hand R290-9 models which feature full demo specification and were formerly owned by Lee Demolition. Amongst the other new Hyundai’s on site in London was a nearly new R210-9 model. This machine is also fully equipped with demolition spec including side skirt protection, FOPS cab protection, fall from height boxing ring protection and bucket tipping ram guard. Operator Danny Smith had never operated a Hyundai before and was extremely impressed with his new mount. Both Simon and Ashley Barlow have been pleasantly surprised with the Hyundai machines that now grace their fleet. With good reliable service coming from the machines and a good dealer relationship too, it’s not hard to see why Rye look highly likely to stick with the brand for the foreseeable future.
