New Zealand Euclid memories

I came across this short video clip on You Tube featuring some classic archive photos from NZ Contractor Magazine and thought it would be great to share it here on the Digger Man Blog.

New Zealand Euclid memories
The Euclid TS-14 was first launched in 1959. This 14 cubic yard capacity motor scraper went on to be a massive seller for Euclid and for Terex from 1968 and could be seen shifting mountains of earth all around the world. The model was very popular in the UK too during the glory days of motorway and road construction projects during the 60’s and 70’s, but the model was often overshadowed in the memories by its larger brother the TS-24. The machines were well represented in the New Zealand market too with famous contractors like Martin, Oldfield Earthmovers, Downer and Taylor & Gulley all running fleets of the twin engine scrapers. This video clip shows some of these classic companies "Euc's" in action.
The Digger Man Blog would like to thank NZ Contractor Magazine for the use of this material.
