Shaking Hands with Danger Again! (Classic Cat Safety Film)

This iconic safety film was mentioned in the chat recently during Mark Anthony’s hugely successful Breakfast Show, so with that in mind, I make no excuses for bringing back this old post from my early days on the Contract Journal version of my Digger Blog.

This classic Caterpillar safety footage from the 1970’s is almost legendary and it’s great to look back at this kind of stuff.

The film features a whole host of legendary Caterpillar machines, including dozers, dumptrucks, motor graders, scrapers, wheeled loaders, tracked loaders like the 977 and 200 series hydraulic excavators.

It’s a real machinery fest for any Cat enthusiast, but behind all the wooden acting and cheesy stunts is the real serious message, that working with heavy plant and machinery can be a very dangerous thing if they are not treated with respect!
