Show us your Earthmovers!

Last week we started a feature on our Digger Man Blog Facebook page for operators to show us their copies of Earthmovers Magazine with their current machine, in this post I will show the best of the shots.

The inspired idea came about thanks to reader Rory Mc Avoy from County Down, Northern Ireland, who really kicked it all off, by posting this shot of his Cat dozer with Earthmovers nicely resting on the blade! Nigel Taylor posted his first entry of two entitled “Just giving Earthmovers Mag a good hammering” which saw the latest issue of the magazine perched on top of piling hammer, attached to this Volvo EC160DL machine that is owned by B. T. Jenkins down here in Devon. Dwayne Trevenna captured the spirit of the thing by displaying his copy in the jaws of his selector grab attachment on a Doosan excavator with the caption “Grabbed my Issue”. Martin Tebbs then demonstrated some precision skill by resting his grading bucket on top of the latest magazine and commenting, “Grading my way through the pages”. It was a good job the machine was not an old Hymac with a creeping boom or the magazine would have been shredded before Martin got a chance to read it! Next up is one of two entries from Jason Snaith, entitled “Grabbed Mine” where he has trapped an older edition of the magazine in the 4 in 1 bucket of his Cat 963D track shovel. “Scraped mine up” said Ryan Paddy Daly as he showed his copy of the magazine on his Cat 615C elevating scraper! And finally “Some heavy lifting today” was how Martyn Custard described his shot of the magazine hanging from some chains on his JCB excavator that he operates for CJL Groundworks. Big thanks to everyone who took the time to participate, it gave us a good laugh and we will be picking a winner shortly.
