Simple Excavator Access Ladder

I have been contacted by a Norwegian entrepreneur Olav Wendelbo who has written to tell us about a new access ladder design he has been working on.

Simple Excavator Access Ladder
The ladder is, as I understand it, based on an old Norwegian Brøyt design and is, according to Olav, a simple but cost effective set up which is primarily aimed at the 35 to 100 tonne hydraulic excavator sector. The ladder operates manually pushed down by the operator as he steps out of the cab, as the operator steps off the ladder onto the ground 2 gas struts devices automatically fold the ladder up into its storage position. The process is reversed when the operator needs to get back into the cab. Olav has supplied a video of the system in operation which was taken back in 2013 so I assume this ladder has been in development for some time. If anyone is interested in this product I think Olav is a member of our Digger Man Blog Facebook group so you can contact him by PM.
