T C Harrison add Thwaites to their portfolio

Long term JCB dealers Sheffield based T C Harrison have added Thwaites dumpers to their range of products to complement their existing portfolio of construction, industrial and agricultural machines.

T C Harrison chose the recent Lincoln Show to announce their appointment as the official distributor for Thwaites dumpers in Lincolnshire. Complimenting an impressive display of JCB machines at the two day show, the team unveiled a number of models including a Thwaites 6 tonne swivel skip dumper alongside one of JCB’s latest products the 86 C-1 eight tonne class conventional swing midi excavator.

A company spokesman told the Digger Man Blog, “Thwaites is the perfect match for us. Having invented the world’s first forward tipping dumper over 70 years ago, the company has continued to design and manufacture outstanding machines and now boasts a range of 13 models from 300kg to 10 tonnes with a range of manual, hydrostatic, powershift and powershuttle transmissions and skip configurations. The 2 and 3 tonne dumpers offer the option of the unique Hi-Swivel feature which combines powerswivel (skip rotation of 180^oto the right or left) and the ability to raise the skip to a maximum loadover height of just under 2m, ensuring easy discharge into skips or trucks”.

As with the JCB machines T C Harrison will be carrying extensive stocks of Thwaites spare parts, many of which are interchangeable with Terex and Barford dumpers if required.

Thwaites dumpers have consistently proven themselves over the years and in many ways the Thwaites name has become synonymous with site dumper technology. During a recent chat I had with Sales Manager for Thwaites, David Chuck, he said “It’s what we do, we make dumpers and nothing else, as such we do know a thing or two about them!”
