Young digger fan gets to grips with Takeuchi’s new baby

Many of us started out on machines at a very young age and as far as I am concerned it is and always will be the best way to learn. Young John Grainger is following in his father Neil’s footsteps and honing his skills from a young age too.

Sadly in today’s PC world not many get the chance like we did, but those who are lucky enough to be able to get some stick time in a controlled environment will always have the edge over those who take up operating later in life. With the industry crying out for new blood but putting obstacles in the way with cards for this and cards for that, it’s refreshing to see keen youngsters like 10 year old John getting a chance. 12795096_1775639292666182_1667498691420446909_o John’s father Neil, of Always Digging fame, is as regular readers will know, a big Takeuchi fan and he and John have recently been taking a test drive opportunity on the TB210R model. The long awaited replacement for the TB108 was launched last year at the Intermat show in Paris and features a larger 3 cylinder Kubota engine boasting 11.6hp (8.7kw), comfortably placed servo controls and a more streamlined and stylish counterweight. Check out John at the controls in this video.
