Menzi Muck on a Mission
This video from Menzi Muck has recently appeared on You Tube and I figured it would make for an interesting post here on the Digger Man Blog. Anyone who witnessed the stunning display of the Menzi Muck at Bauma will be aware of the shapes these things can pull in the hands of a very experienced operator.
This reservoir in Switzerland has to be cleaned of debris build up from time to time especially after storms when broken limbs of trees and other rubbish get washed down and block up the grate. Unfortunately access to the job is very restricted and can only be reached via a narrow lane, followed by a steep 50° embankment down to the grid, the Menzi Muck which is supplied by specialist multi-faceted construction company Franz Manser AG is tethered by a winch to make a controlled descent possible and once the work is done the procedure is reversed.
