Belarusian Gradall Style Excavator
Came across this machine by accident recently while trawling the web looking for something Gradall related and figured it might be of interest to the Digger Man Blog readers.
SVYATOVIT is a construction equipment manufacturer based in Minsk, which is the capital city of Belarus. The business was established in 1997 and has expanded over the 20 year + history. I guess most of us think of Russian factories as dark and antiquated throwbacks to the post war years, but a bit of investigation online reveals quite the opposite, with this business running a very modern assembly plant producing decent quality equipment for both private contractor and military use.
The main focus of their range is telescopic boom excavators mounted on road going trucks, very similar in design to that we see from American manufacturer Gradall. This company’s most popular model is the EW-25-M2 seen below in military paintwork.
This set up features two power packs, the truck itself is powered by a Cummins ISB6.7 Euro 5 diesel engine with a power output of 215kw. While the excavator is powered by a Belarusian manufactured MMZ diesel engine offering 100kw (136hp).
This machines maximum dig depth 5,450mm and a maximum reach at ground level of 10,450, both distances can be increased by the fitting of the tilt rack option.
