Going for a Cat World Record at Wheels at Wanaka 2025

The organisers of the Wheels at Wanaka event in New Zealand are planning something big for next years gathering.

To celebrate the Centenary of Caterpillar in that same year, the team behind the event are aiming to amass the largest display of vintage Cat equipment, a move that will hopefully take them into the world record books for the largest ever gathering of such equipment.

They are describing it as the biggest birthday bash there ever was, and are encouraging Cat ‘caretakers’ from around the globe to join them for this once in a lifetime experience.

The Three Parks, Wanaka venue will roar into life once again for the fourth time, from the 18^th – 20^th April 2025, for what sadly, looks likely to be the last time the event will be held.

This event is an awesome spectacle for enthusiasts of Cat machinery both on wheels and tracks, and next year will be even more spectacular. The Caterpillar Tractor Co came into being on the 15^th April 1925 and as such this event will tie in perfectly with that 100^th birthday milestone.
