Komatsu Excavator Restoration is Stunning
Pictures of this fantastic restoration project were highlighted to me by Shaun Gratton, of Gratton Plant Hire and Rototilt UK, over the Christmas break, and as promised, I’m delighted to bring the story to the pages of the Digger Man Blog.
Family based contracting business G&C Excavations who are based in a place called Reservoir, Melbourne, in the state of Victoria, have fully restored a 1988 model PC200-5 which has been done in honour of the original founder of the business.
The original founder whose name was George Pana, like so many before him, originally founded the company not only to provide a better life for himself, but with a long-term view to securing his families futures, and with younger members now working in the business which is now known as the Pana Group, this restoration is a wonderful memorial, as it was with one of these machines that George established the firm back in 1990.
The guys at Pana Group worked closely with the highly skilled technicians at Komatsu Australia who worked tirelessly to bring this dream restoration to fruition, and I think you will agree they have done a wonderful job with it.
The attention to detail is phenomenal and the paintwork finish is like it has just rolled out of the factory from its PDI! The machine has even been fitted with a hydraulic quick coupler, a not so common feature on original 1988 machines, but without doubt, a welcome addition.
A special mention must go to Ryan Lurati who works for Komatsu Australia Pty Ltd, as General Line Territory Manager covering Melbourne and the East Metro area with New and Used Equipment, Rental & Ex Rental offerings.
Ryan originally posted the story with some photos on his own dedicated business Facebook page, so we thank him for the share here on the Digger Man Blog.
